FTW SP1
The FTW SP1 is our ultimate high-speed freeride wheel. It combines the race-derived ACT and DLS technologies of the FTW with our pink 76A SP1 freeride formula, creating a wheel with exceptional roll speed, durability, and in-slide stability.
Its wide platform keeps the board remarkably calm when sideways, while the supported and machined outer lip delivers a sharp, precise transition between grip and slide. It rolls even faster than the FTW SP2, but without the extreme braking power of a race formula, making it uniquely suited to fast, committed stand-up slides.

Product details
Why we made it
We made the FTW SP1 out of curiosity. After developing ACT and DLS for racing, we wanted to see how those technologies would translate to freeride. So we took the complete FTW shape and construction and poured it in our pink SP1 formula.
The result exceeded our expectations. With less braking power than SP2, the wheel could hold longer slides without losing speed too aggressively. Its 74 mm width created an incredible amount of stability, while DLS kept the outer lip supported and predictable throughout the slide.
What started as an experiment became something genuinely different: an extremely fast freeride wheel that feels unusually calm and controlled at speeds where narrower wheels begin to feel nervous.
Who is it for
The FTW SP1 is built for advanced riders who feel they have reached the limits of the PolYmers and want more stability, more edge support, and more precision from their freeride wheels.
Its large diameter and wide contact patch make the entire board feel more stable when sideways, giving you the confidence to throw stand-up slides at serious speed. DLS controls the deformation of the outer lip, helping reduce unexpected hookups and making the transition back to grip feel sharp and predictable.
This is not the wheel we recommend for racing. If maximum grip and stopping power are the priority, the FTW SP2 remains the right choice. The FTW SP1 is for riders chasing high-speed standups, exceptional roll speed, and a wheel that can survive demanding freeride sessions again and again.
What are the specs
The FTW SP1 is 81 mm tall with a 74 mm contact patch and is poured in our pink 76A SP1 formula. Compared with SP2, this higher-rebound urethane generates less braking power in slides, offers significantly greater durability, and delivers even more roll speed.
The wheel uses our patent-pending Air Core Technology. By integrating a hollow cavity inside a two-part core, ACT reduces rotational inertia while maintaining a thin urethane layer beneath the centre of the contact patch. This improves acceleration and roll speed without sacrificing the urethane depth required at the lips.
The outer lip is reinforced by our patent-pending Dynamic Lip Support structure. Fixed into the core and extending into the urethane, DLS controls lip deformation under load to stabilise slides, strengthen edge support, and improve resistance to chunking. The outer lip is also CNC-machined after curing, creating an exceptionally sharp edge and an almost scalpel-like transition between slide and grip.
Like the FTW SP2, the wheel uses asymmetric lips and a compensated core offset. The two offsets cancel each other out, making the wheel functionally centerset while allowing each lip to be optimised for its specific role. It is designed around modern narrow setups, particularly 105 to 115 mm hangers, with a sweet spot around 110 mm.
Quality engagement
The FTW SP1 follows our batch-tracking policy. Every production run is identified by a unique six-digit batch ID printed directly on the wheel. This gives us full traceability and allows us to monitor the consistency and performance of every batch we produce.
Its two-part hollow core, internal DLS structure, and post-curing CNC machining make the FTW SP1 our most complex ; and most expensive ; wheel to manufacture. In return, the SP1 formula offers the highest durability we have achieved so far, with excellent resistance to wear, chunking, and flat spots.
We are committed to being transparent about production quality. If an issue ever appears within a specific batch, its ID allows us to identify the affected wheels quickly and work towards a solution that is fair and transparent for everyone involved.

Q&A
Most asked questions regarding our FTW
What are the specs?
The FTW wheels measure 81 mm in diameter with a 74 mm contact patch. They are poured in our SP1 76A formula and feature both DLS and ACT technologies for improved performance and consistency.
What's the core placement?
The FTW are centerset - but not in the conventional way. Rather than having symmetrical lips, the FTW feature very different inner and outer profiles. To compensate, the core itself is inset within the urethane, shifting the contact patch back to center. The two offsets cancel each other out, giving you true centerset performance despite the asymmetric shape.
